DETROIT CITY FC LEAD FITNESS COACH
Detroit City FC is Detroit’s professional soccer club. Founded in 2012, the community club plays in the USL Championship.  Detroit City FC is looking for a lead fitness coach to assist in all team matters including but not limited to; training, scouting, player development, and game-day preparations.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The lead fitness coach will share in the team mission, ambition, and culture, while actively contributing positively to the Club’s Organizational Goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
·       In coordination with the Head Coach, responsible for the planning and delivery of physical development programs, to ensure optimal physical performance for all players.
·       Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver best practice support to players, including strength & conditioning, nutrition, recovery, daily monitoring, fitness testing programs, and load management for optimal player performance.
·       In coordination with the Head Coach, and medical staff, develop, implement, and deliver the following: return to play protocols, strength & conditioning, pre-training activation protocols, warm-up, data monitoring, GPS tagging and reporting.
·       Assist with the design and implementation of appropriate nutrition and hydration strategies for players (training, matches, travel, etc.).
·       Purposefully create and foster professional relationships with each player to maximize their contributions to the team as players and development as people.
·       Conduct, assist, and supervise individual practices and training sessions for the team and individual players. Maintain the appearance and organization of the weight room facility, as well as establish, and educate players/staff and enforce weight room facility rules.
·       Represent the organization at various networking events and/or offsite community events.
·       Other responsibilities as they arise.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 
·       Certified strength & conditioning coach (CSCS) or equivalent certification required.
·       Experience working in elite/professional high-performance sport required, experience in a similar role at a professional soccer club highly preferred.
·       Knowledge of soccer as an elite level player or previous coaching experience with a minimum of a National ‘C’ Coaching license preferred.
·       Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm about contributing to the success of the Club.
·       CPR/AED certified and current.
·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
·       Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, if necessary. 
·       Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and execute in a timely manner. 
·       Must be flexible with the ability to adapt in a fast-pace work environment with challenging demands and frequent changes. 
·       Bilingual (Spanish or Arabic) speaker a plus, but not required. 
·       Must be legally authorized or able to obtain authorization to work in the US.

Salary Range 
At DCFC we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount with consider a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets, relevant experience, and training/education. The overall range for this role is $32,000 - $40,000 per year plus performance bonus incentives.
