Role Summary

Detroit City FC is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Premium Sales Manager to lead our inaugural sales efforts for our new stadium. This is a unique opportunity for a rising star with 3-5 years of experience to join a fast-growing organization and build something from the ground up.

The ideal candidate is a player-coach who will both manage a small, high-performing sales team and be directly involved in the sales process. You are a natural networker who excels at building relationships and a closer who is driven to secure high-value contracts. This role is crucial to the success of our new stadium, and you will be responsible for selling our top-tier premium inventory: Suites, Field Seats, and Club Seats. Your primary focus will be on quickly building momentum and closing deals to set us on a path for a successful 2027 launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of premium sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Direct Sales: Actively prospect, present, and close new business for our premium seating products, including Suites, Field Seats, and Club Seats.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue targets in preparation for the 2027 stadium opening.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, and high-net-worth individuals within the Detroit community.
  • Reporting: Track sales activity, pipelines, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service.
  • Works collaboratively with marketing, partnerships, and community relations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a premium sales role, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, preferably within sports or entertainment.
  • Leadership experience or a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with a demonstrated ability to secure high-value contracts.
  • Strong networking abilities and a talent for building and leveraging relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with ambitious deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM or equivalent
