Corpus Christi FC is a professional soccer organization affiliated with the United Soccer League (USL). The USL Championship and USL League One make up the largest professional men’s soccer league in the United States. Corpus Christi FC is based out of South Texas, an untapped soccer hotbed of Texas with thousands of youth players and many thousands more supporting the game at all levels. Corpus Christi FC in partnership with Next Sports Company LLC is developing a 5,000-seat soccer specific-stadium as part of a world class multi-sports facility that will be ready for its inaugural season as a professional team in March 2026
Corpus Christi FC is seeking an Equipment Intern to support the daily operational needs of the club, working closely with the Technical Staff. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to experience the behind-the-scenes logistics of a professional soccer environment.
Note: This position is open to current college students and recent graduates.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and upkeep of locker rooms and equipment storage areas
- Prepare and distribute team apparel and gear to players and technical staff
- Support daily laundry operations for training sessions and matches
- Help set up and break down the locker room for home matches and training days
- Assist Coaches and Equipment Staff with training session setup and takedown, including cones, mannequins, and other field equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Strong interest in sports, especially soccer
- High energy, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and matchdays
- Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 40 lbs)
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible to receive college credit
- Available 20–25 hours per week
- Understanding that working in sports differs from being a fan—this role involves essential behind-the-scenes responsibilities and does not guarantee the ability to watch matches
