Position Summary:
We are seeking motivated and organized college students for a Sponsorships Internship to support the day-to-day execution of sponsorship and partnership activities. This role is for college credit and ideal for a student interested in sports business, marketing, sales, or event management. The intern will assist with appointment and contract follow-ups, coordinating sponsorship activations and promotions, scheduling media and in-stadium assets, and supporting game-day activities including tailgate, pre-game, halftime, and fan engagement events. As a professional soccer organization, this internship offers the unique opportunity to work directly, hand-in-hand with experienced professionals in the soccer industry, gaining real-world exposure and a strong foundation for building a career in the world’s most popular sport — soccer.
This internship is available for the Spring, Summer and Fall Semesters. You must be in Corpus Christi or able to commute to Corpus Christi.
Primary Duties:
- Assist with appointment scheduling and follow-up communication with partners and prospects
- Support contract tracking and follow-ups to ensure deliverables are completed on time
- Help maintain accurate records, databases, and sponsorship activation calendars
- Assist in scheduling and organizing sponsorship activities across social media, print, in-stadium, and digital channels
- Help plan and support sponsor promotions and special activities, including game-night paid events
- Assist with scheduling TV reads and in-stadium PA announcements for sponsors and promotions
- Coordinate deadlines and content needs with marketing, graphics, and operations teams
- Track activation progress and provide status updates
- Assist with tailgate activities, pre-game activations, and fan engagement opportunities
- Support on-field and in-venue sponsorship activations and promotions
- Assist sponsors and clients with halftime show participation and activation setup
- Support coordination of National Anthem performances, including arrival, staging, and execution
- Assist with hospitality coordination and sponsor guest experience
- Help with general event operations and partner relations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current college student preferred studying towards a degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Business or a related field
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends for home games and special events
- Ability to maintain Professionalism
- Positive attitude, proactive, and willing to learn
