Job Description
Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC is seeking a dynamic Visual Media Specialist to contribute to the team’s creative content efforts and bringing the clubs stories to life through visual mediums. This individual will work on all aspects of the Switchbacks video production needs across the entire company, while working within the Marketing and Communications department. The ideal candidate will focus on providing video assets, as well as a strong background in motion graphics and graphic design. We are looking for a storyteller, with an emphasis on editing, finishing, and delivering a wide variety of content.
Primary Responsibilities
- Edit and deliver videos for various departments, media outlets, and social media platforms.
- Catalog footage to help maintain Switchbacks FC’s archival storage library
- Participate in live game coverage and gameday production
- Conceptualize and edit short-form video content, with an emphasis on social media
- Support other aspects of the video and content department, including occasional graphic design, shoots, and travel as well as other administrative duties
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong video editing skills with an advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere (or equivalent NLE)
- Experience in other Adobe applications, notably After Effects & Photoshop
- Quick learner who can function in the fast-paced environment mandated by professional sports
- Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience producing high-level sports videos is encouraged, but not required
- Desire to push forward Switchbacks FC’s style and voice while staying within the boundaries of its brand guidelines and workflows
- Experience with digital cinema cameras, sound, and lighting techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of the soccer landscape, and a passion for growing the game
