Location: Weidner Field (Downtown Colorado Springs)
Position Type: Part-Time (30 hours/week, including matchdays)
Work Setting: In-person
About the Role
The Communications Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of the Communications Manager and Marketing Team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports communications, digital media, and storytelling, with a strong interest in soccer and fan engagement.
Essential Responsibilities
● Assist with digital media and club statistics tracking
● Support the marketing team on matchdays, including in-game operations
● Write articles covering matches, team news, and community events
● Help edit and maintain the club website and app content
● Create detailed broadcast match notes
● Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and post content
● Create and write monthly newsletters and emails
● Provide live social media coverage for away matches and produce match recaps
Requirements
● Currently working toward or has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sports
Management, Business, or a related field
● General understanding of soccer and the sports industry
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
● Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
● Interest in pursuing a career in the sports industry
● Ability to represent the club at business and community events professionally
● Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays
● Availability to work all home matches at Weidner Field
● Ability to cover away matches remotely throughout the season
Compensation
This position is $15.16/hr
