SUMMARY:

Central Valley Fuego FC is a professional soccer team dedicated to excellence on the field and integrity off the field. Our commitment to compliance, sportsmanship, and community engagement is at the core of our values. We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our team and ensure our organization maintains the highest standards of compliance and ethical behavior. 
 
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

Regulatory Compliance: 
●        Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant soccer league regulations, including player contracts, transfer rules, anti-doping policies, and disciplinary codes.

Policy Development:
●        Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Risk Assessment:
●        Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and recommend mitigating actions.

Training and Education:
●        Provide training and education to coaches, players, and staff on compliance topics such as anti-doping, anti-corruption, and league rules.

Investigation and Enforcement:
●        Lead investigations into compliance issues, including anti-doping violations, code of conduct breaches, or match-fixing allegations, and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions.

Reporting and Communication:
●        Maintain communication with league officials, legal counsel, and senior management to ensure proper reporting of compliance matters. Prepare and submit required compliance reports to league authorities.

Community Engagement:
●        Work with the community outreach team to promote a positive image of the club and ensure compliance with community and fan engagement policies.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

●        Must possess a high level of organization, initiative and drive. 
●        Natural sense of ownership for duties and deadlines as well as drive for continuous improvement. 
●        Experience functioning in a 24/7 operating environment and must be able to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, game days and holidays as required.
●        Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills both written and oral.
●        Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and seeks feedback. 
●        Ability to problem solve and conduct oneself with poise and professionalism. 
●        Commitment and work ethic to achieve the highest standards.

●        Access to a car, a clean driving record, proof of auto insurance and a valid driver’s license.
●        Performs other duties as assigned. 
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

●        Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
●        Minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, preferably in a sports environment.
●        Strong understanding of soccer league regulations, anti-doping policies, and anti-corruption measures.
●        Experience working in a high tempo, high stress environment.
●        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
●        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
●        Professional soccer experience preferred.
●        Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
●        High level of integrity and ethical standards.
●        Ability to handle all weather conditions
Physical Requirements:
●        Must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.
●        Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday/shift. Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws.
●        Requires normal (corrected) vision and hearing.
