Overview:
The Marketing Intern will play an active role in supporting the marketing, content, and fan engagement efforts for both Carolina Ascent (women’s professional soccer) and Charlotte Independence (men’s professional soccer). This is a hands-on opportunity for students looking to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, team-first environment where creativity, energy, and execution matter. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute across multiple disciplines including graphic design, social media, digital marketing, data analytics, content creation, photography, video production, and live game presentation. No two days are the same—this role is ideal for someone who wants to build a diverse skill set while being part of live sports.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in creating digital and print marketing assets, including graphics, social content, and promotional materials
Capture and produce photo/video content for use across social media, website, and in-game entertainment
Support social media planning, posting, and real-time game day coverage
Assist with video editing and short-form content (Reels, TikTok, highlights, hype videos)
Help execute email marketing campaigns and support database growth initiatives
Track and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations
Contribute ideas to marketing campaigns, theme nights, and fan engagement initiatives
Assist with game day presentation including promotions, fan interaction, and in-stadium entertainment
Support grassroots marketing efforts, community events, and promotional activation
Provide general support to the marketing and business operations team

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a college or university (Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Graphic Design, or related field preferred)
Strong interest in sports marketing, particularly soccer and/or women’s professional sports
Creative, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative
Strong communication and time management skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment
Availability to work nights, weekends, and all home matches
