Match Day & Community Engagement Operations Internship

Location: Charlotte, NC (In-Person – Match Days & Community Events)
Duration: Spring 2026 | Match Day + Event-Based Hours | Unpaid (College Credit Available)

Carolina Ascent FC, a member of the USL Super League, is looking for proactive, reliable, and team-oriented candidates for our Match Day & Community Engagement Operations Internship. This role is ideal for students interested in sports operations, event planning, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of all home match operations, including signage, fan zones, partner activations, and field-level logistics
  • Support the delivery of community engagement events, such as youth clinics, player appearances, school visits, and festivals
  • Coordinate with marketing and operations staff to manage promotional materials, giveaways, and grassroots outreach
  • Represent the club at community events with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Help track and document community outreach efforts and provide recap reports

Ideal Candidate:
  • Pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Nonprofit Leadership, or related field
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to lift and move equipment as needed
  • Comfortable engaging with fans, children, and community partners in public settings
  • Available to work all home matches and select community events (including evenings and weekends)
  • Strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-first environment
