Position Summary:
The Carolina Ascent FC / Charlotte Independence SC is seeking a Graphic Artist who can visually communicate the excitement, energy, and pride of professional women’s and men’s soccer. This fast-paced role blends creativity with precision — transforming ideas into bold, engaging designs for traditional advertising, social media, print, and in-stadium environments. The ideal candidate is collaborative and understands how to make fans feel the game — even before kickoff — while reinforcing brand identity, showcasing players, and recognizing partners authentically. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce high-impact graphics for website, email, social media, digital marketing, print materials, and in-stadium displays that reflect the passion and movement of Ascent and Independence soccer AND motivates consumers to purchase game tickets AND merchandise
- Create visual content that enhances fan engagement across platforms including Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, website, and email.
- Maintain consistent brand identity across all touchpoints while effectively integrating player imagery and partner recognition where appropriate.
- Collaborate closely across all departments to translate creative strategies into standout visual executions.
- Develop templates, layouts, and campaign-specific assets that adapt across media formats.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting fast-moving deadlines in a dynamic team environment.
- Uphold brand standards, ensuring all creative output aligns with the Carolina Ascent’s visual identity and values.
- Research and select sample photos for marketing and communication materials
- Organize work on company shared drives
- Manage and Operate Vixi Suite fan engagement platform during live events.
- Many other projects assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of professional design experience (sports, entertainment, or agency experience a plus).
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required; After Effects and Premiere a plus).
- Ability in CANVA advanced applications is preferred.
- Strong understanding of social media design trends and best practices for engagement.
- Proven ability to design for print, large-format, and stadium applications.
- Ability to create logo and graphic animations.
- Experience in retouch and manipulation of images.
- Excellent sense of layout, composition, color, and typography.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven sports environment.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings.
