Overview of Brooklyn Football Club Brooklyn FC is defining the future of soccer in America. In 2024, Brooklyn played in its inaugural season of the USL Super League team and in 2026 will launch a USL Championship team. We represent the 77 neighborhoods in the Brooklyn borough and are dedicated to uplifting our community through our global sport. This position is specifically for the 2026 USL Championship season.

Position Title: Team Administrator
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate - $50,000 - $60,000

Position Overview

The Team Administrator is responsible for all operational, logistical and administrative aspects of the First Team. This position ensures that General Manager, Head Coach, Players and men’s team staff have the resources, support and organization needed to perform at the highest performing level. The Team Administrator serves as the key liaison for the General Manager, Head Coach and Sporting staff.  They will also facilitate communications with league officials and other league requirements, while supporting daily operations and matchday execution. 

Key Responsibilities

Team Operations & Administration
  • Manage all day-to-day administrative and operational needs of the First Team to ensure a highly organized and efficient working environment.
  • Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for the General Manager, Head Coach, players, and men’s team staff.
  • Maintain team schedules, calendars, and internal communications across sporting and operational departments.
  • Oversee documentation related to player contracts, registrations, visas, and league compliance requirements, as applicable.

Logistics & Travel Management
  • Coordinate all team travel logistics, including flights, ground transportation, accommodations, and meal planning for training sessions, matches, and exhibitions.
  • Manage training site and matchday logistics to ensure facilities, equipment, and staffing needs are met.
  • Develop and distribute detailed itineraries for travel, training, and matchdays.

League & Compliance Coordination
  • Act as the primary liaison with league officials regarding scheduling, match operations, roster compliance, and administrative requirements.
  • Ensure timely submission of all league-mandated documentation, reports, and certifications.
  • Maintain compliance with league, federation, and club operational standards and policies.

Matchday Operations
  • Lead all administrative and logistical aspects of home and away matchdays in coordination with operations, coaching, and medical staff.
  • Support matchday execution, including credentials, locker room setup, equipment logistics, and team timelines.
  • Coordinate with league representatives and match officials to ensure smooth match operations.

Sporting Staff Support
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the General Manager, Head Coach, and Sporting staff to enable focus on technical and performance objectives.
  • Assist with planning and execution of training sessions, team meetings, and performance-related activities.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between coaching, medical, performance, and operations departments.

Player Support & Welfare
  • Serve as a key point of contact for players regarding daily operations, schedules, and logistical needs.
  • Assist with onboarding new players, including orientation, housing coordination, and required documentation.
  • Support player welfare initiatives by ensuring players have access to necessary resources and support services.

Communication & Coordination
  • Ensure clear, consistent communication between internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Support the dissemination of schedules, policies, and operational updates to players and staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to planning and process improvement discussions.

Professional Standards & Club Representation
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Represent the club positively in dealings with league officials, vendors, partners, and visiting teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager or Head Coach in support of team and club objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 3 years of team administration at either a professional sporting organization or D1 college experience. 
  • Expertise in organizational software, Including but not limited to team communication software, scheduling software and spreadsheets.
  • Experience supporting first-team staff in daily operations within a high-performance environment
  • Ability to anticipate operational needs and proactively resolve issues before they escalate

Capabilities & Other Characteristics

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by team schedules and travel demands.
  • Must be able to travel extensively with the team for away matches and training camps.
  • Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods, demonstrate exercises, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Proactive and able to complete assigned tasks independently and in high-pressure situations.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Strong knowledge of professional league operations, policies, and compliance requirements; experience managing team travel, matchday, and training logistics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to serve as a liaison among coaching staff, players, front office, and league officials
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
