Role Overview

The Manager of Game Day Operations  is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all matchday operations for Brooklyn FC at Maimonides Park. This role serves as the central operational lead on game day, ensuring that all departments, staff, vendors, and partners are aligned and that the fan experience runs seamlessly from gates open through final exit.

This position focuses on run of show, staff management, venue logistics, and real-time problem solving, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure every matchday is executed safely, efficiently, and at a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Matchday Operations & Venue Management

  • Lead all planning and coordination of matchday operations for Brooklyn FC home matches at Maimonides Park.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Maimonides Park operations, coordinating staffing plans, venue logistics, site visits, planning meetings, and setup days.
  • Own and produce Run of Show documents for all matches, ensuring alignment across operations, match presentation, security, and venue staff.
  • Oversee matchday setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure all operational deliverables are completed on time and to standard.
  • Act as a key point of contact on matchdays, addressing real-time issues and ensuring rapid resolution with internal teams and venue partners.
Staffing & Game Day Execution

  • Assign roles and responsibilities for all game day staff, including operations staff, part-time employees, and volunteers.
  • Coordinate and support Game Day Operations staffing across all matches throughout the season.
  • Assist with the hiring, onboarding, training, and management of part-time game day staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure staff are properly briefed, trained, and positioned to deliver a consistent and welcoming fan experience.
Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in live event operations, sports operations, or venue management.
  • Proven experience managing game day staff, volunteers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities.
  • Comfortable making decisions in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the match schedule.
