Position Overview
Bethesda SC is looking for internship candidates that are looking to further their career in the sports management world in the upcoming Spring/Summer of 2026.
In Bethesda SC’s Inaugural season in the USL2, We will play our home games at the Maryland Soccer Plex Stadium in Boyds, MD. Bethesda SC will also host several events throughout the Montgomery County region and has the main office in Gaithersburg, MD where the Bethesda Performance Facility has just been opened up.
We are looking for interns in the following areas, although all internship candidates will be expected to take on a variety of duties and assignments that may be out of their primary interest in order to fully learn the scope of all aspects of operating a pre-Professional soccer club:
- Marketing
- Social Media
- Game Day Operations
- Community Outreach
- Ticketing
- Merchandise
- Sponsorships
- Team Operations
- Sports Photography
Key Responsibilities:
Match Day:
- Assist with stadium setup and breakdown (signage, equipment, fan areas, merchandise).
- Coordinate with vendors, security, officials, and stadium staff.
- Support ticketing and merchandise operations, support fan crowd control.
- Help execute sponsor activations and fan engagement activities.
- Troubleshoot operational issues during events.
- Must assist on all 7 Home match days (and 1 away day)
Administrative Support:
- Community Outreach
- Social Media creation
- Coordinate activities with USL Y / Halftime activations
- Help out as needed with Bethesda SC events
Learning Outcomes:
- Experience in Live event execution and matchday logistics
- Experience with Vendor and stakeholder coordination
- Professional communication within a sports organization
- Marketing / sales and Community outreach
- overall how a pre-Professional and youth club runs from inside and out
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work during all 7 home matchdays (1 away day).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Excellent in person communication and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for soccer and sports preferred.
