Position Overview

Sporting JAX is seeking a high-performing, relationship-driven Account Executive, Ticket Sales to generate season, package, and group ticket revenue across all Sporting JAX ticketed events.
 
The Account Executive, Ticket Sales is responsible for identifying, prospecting, cultivating, and closing new business across season tickets, ticket packages, and group tickets for both the Men's USL Championship team and Women's Super League team. This role owns the full sales cycle from first contact through close, fulfillment, and renewal.
 
This is a selling role. Success is measured in revenue generated, accounts closed, and long-term relationships built throughout Northeast Florida. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, a competitive desire to be the best, and the ability to build and maintain a high-volume pipeline that delivers consistent results.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Sales Production
  • Prospect, cultivate, negotiate, close, and service season ticket package, and group ticket business for both the Men's USL Championship team and Women's Super League team.
  • Build and manage a personal sales pipeline that consistently delivers against annual revenue goals established by Ticket Sales & Service leadership.
  • Offer a full menu of seating opportunities across all ticket products and move opportunities efficiently through the sales cycle.
  • Own each account from first contact through close, fulfillment, and renewal.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales revenue goals on a consistent basis.
  • Effectively use the ticketing platform to describe and select available seat locations for patrons and transact point of sale within the system.
 
Prospecting and Business Development
  • A minimum of 60 outbound sales calls is required every business day, in addition to executing high-volume outbound prospecting activity via email and in-person outreach.
  • Identify, research, and pursue new sales opportunities through provided leads, cold calling, referrals from current customers, and other creative lead generation methods.
  • Set and conduct in-stadium, in-arena, and out-of-office sales appointments.
  • Represent Sporting JAX professionally at community events, networking functions, and other assigned activities.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for general ticket inquiries received through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.
 
Account Management and Collaboration
  • Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members to enhance customer service and retention.
  • Participate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Work in conjunction with club and USL league staff to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.
  • Assist with administrative ticket functions and any special projects or duties as assigned by the Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service and Director of Ticket Operations.
 
CRM and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all prospecting activity, account communication, proposals, closed sales, and account notes within the CRM.
  • Track personal performance against established sales goals and daily call activity and flag obstacles proactively.
  • Provide pipeline updates and pacing reports to Ticket Sales & Service leadership as requested.
 
Matchday and Event Responsibilities
  • Attend all required home matches, sales activations, community appearances, and organizational events.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, events, and game days.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of sales experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 60 outbound calls per business day is required, along with the ability to handle a heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails.
  • Strong prospecting skills and comfort with high-volume outbound sales activity.
  • Ability to manage a full sales cycle independently from cold outreach through close and renewal.
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Optimistic, team-first attitude with a competitive desire to be the best.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate with C-level clients.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot, SeatGeek, Microsoft Office, or similar business tools preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports.
 
Work Schedule and Expectations
  • This is a full-time, in-office position based in Jacksonville, FL.
  • Standard business hours are generally Monday through Friday, but the sports and entertainment business requires flexibility based on match schedules, events, sales opportunities, and organizational needs.
  • A minimum of 60 outbound sales calls is required every business day.
  • Attendance is required for Sporting JAX home matches, assigned events, sales activations, community appearances, and meetings unless otherwise approved by the Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required based on the club's schedule.
