Position Overview
Atlético Dallas is hiring a full-time Groundskeeper to support daily turf maintenance operations at MoneyGram Soccer Park, a premier 19-field natural grass soccer complex in Dallas, Texas. The Groundskeeper will assist the Sports Turf Manager and turf team in maintaining safe, high-quality playing surfaces and surrounding green spaces.
This hourly position is eligible for full benefits and does not require regular weekend event coverage. Occasional on-call availability may be required for weather-related or emergency field response.
Primary Responsibilities*
- Perform routine turf maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, debris removal, and field setup.
- Assist with fertilizer and pesticide applications under supervision.
- Operate turf equipment such as push mowers, string trimmers, utility vehicles, and backpack blowers.
- Support irrigation system checks and basic repairs.
- Help with aerification, topdressing, and other cultural practices as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and storage areas.
- Report field conditions and maintenance needs to the Sports Turf Manager and or Assistant Turf Manager.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with seasonal projects including overseeding, sod installation, and field painting.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or turf maintenance preferred.
- Basic understanding of turf care practices and equipment operation.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.
