The Community Relations Manager is the face of that mission responsible for building meaningful relationships, representing the club in the community, and ensuring our presence is felt far beyond the pitch.


Position Summary

This role is about connection, and coordination. While our Marketing Operations team manages event logistics, scheduling, and activation setup, the Community Relations Manager builds and nurtures the relationships that make those activations matter.

You’ll lead Atlético Dallas’s outreach strategy across schools, nonprofits, civic organizations, cultural groups, and local leaders, developing initiatives that align with our values of Grit, Community, and Heart. You’ll also partner closely with Marketing, PR, and Partnerships to turn local impact into lasting stories that grow our fan base and deepen our roots across Dallas. 


Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Atlético Dallas and community partners including schools, nonprofits, civic organizations, and neighborhood groups.
  • Build and maintain a network of community contacts who champion the club’s mission.
  • Develop annual outreach plans that increase Atlético Dallas’s visibility and relevance across diverse Dallas communities.
  • Represent and coordinate the club at local events, speaking engagements, and civic functions as an ambassador of our brand.
Cause-Based Initiatives & Social Impact

  • Create and manage community impact programs (e.g., youth access initiatives, cultural collaborations, donation drives, and soccer-for-good events).
  • Partner with the PR & Communications team to develop campaigns highlighting the club’s social responsibility and community stories.
  • Support the Partnerships team in identifying brands that align with community-based activations or cause-marketing opportunities.
  • Track and report on impact metrics such as community reach, participation, and sentiment.
Player & Ambassador Engagement

  • Coordinate with PR and Team Operations to organize player and coach appearances that positively reflect the club’s values.
  • Prepare players and staff for community engagements with talking points, briefing notes, and local context.
  • Capture post-event content and stories to share across social and owned media channels.
Storytelling & Public Relations Support

  • Collaborate with the PR & Communications team to identify and pitch human-interest stories rooted in our community work.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and tone that reflects the club’s voice and cultural pride.
  • Develop relationships with local media, cultural influencers, and civic storytellers to elevate awareness of club initiatives.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Work with the Marketing Operations team to align outreach opportunities with event schedules, pop-up activations, and matchday initiatives.
  • Partner with Youth Development and Fan Engagement teams to create programs that connect youth players and families to the professional club.
  • Collaborate with Sponsorship/Partnerships to build co-branded community activations that provide measurable ROI and local impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in community relations, corporate social responsibility, or public affairs; preferably in sports, entertainment, or nonprofit.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; able to build relationships across diverse audiences.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Dallas’s neighborhoods, cultures, and civic landscape.
  • A storyteller at heart, able to connect people, purpose, and brand through compelling narratives.
  • Comfortable working nights and weekends as needed for community events, festivals, and matchdays.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing change and thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Drives.
  • Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a background check.
Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings, presentations, and community events..
·        Work efficiently and effectively in office, outdoor, and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distracting.

·        Occasional lifting and carrying of materials (e.g., promotional items, event supplies) up to 30 lbs.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $67,000- $85,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
