Position Description

The Senior Manager, Extended National Teams is responsible for the planning, implementation, and operational delivery of U.S. Soccer's Extended National Team programs, including Beach Soccer, Futsal, and Disability National Teams. This role serves as a key strategic and operational partner to technical staff, supporting player development pathways, national team programming, talent identification initiatives, and performance environments aligned with the Federation's objectives and the execution of the Extended NT Strategic Plan.   

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation and implementation of competition structures augmenting the pathway to Beach Soccer, Futsal, and Disability Extended National Team disciplines.
  • Work with the Participation and Environments Department to identify key members with the potential of participating in “performance level” US Soccer opportunities (e.g. Leagues, National Championships, Coach Education etc.). 
  • Lead and support the delivery of National Team camps, ensuring all staff uphold and exemplify the standards of the U.S. Way.
  • Drive the standardization and continuous improvement of protocols, processes, and best practices across all Extended National Team camps.
  • Support Head Coaches in establishing, reinforcing, and implementing team culture and performance standards.
  • Lead the development of standardized onboarding documents and processes for players and coaches.
  • Support the Technical Development Manager and Head Coaches in the planning, execution, and evaluation of Performance Centers across all disciplines.
  • Assist in the delivery of national and regional player identification events in collaboration with Talent Identification and technical staff.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Operations to plan and execute Extended National Team events at the National Training Center, throughout the United States, and internationally.
  • Collaborate with our marketing and communications team to promote Extended National Team programs and support commercial partnership and sponsorship engagement opportunities.
  • Support the Senior Manager of Operations in the leadership, development, and management of operational staff.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning, growth, and execution of Extended National Team programs in alignment with Federation objectives.
  • Support Extended National Team leadership in budget development, fiscal planning, and effective resource management.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and elite level experience with an ENT discipline  
  • Experience working in a High-Performance soccer environment (senior pro, youth pro, YNTs, elite youth or comparable, etc.) 
  • Strong understanding of the soccer landscape in the U.S., with genuine passion for the sport and culture 
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to solve problems and perform effectively under pressure 
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time required (domestic and international)  
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) 
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission

Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in program development and implementation in high-performance environments
  • Strong planning, organizational, and leadership capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, in-person, and presentation delivery
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and planning to support performance outcomes
  • Proven background in delivering multi-partner projects within soccer. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with coaches and interdisciplinary support staff
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Previous experience working with a professional club and/or national team
