Position Description 

U.S. Soccer is seeking an experienced videographer to for our Women’s National Team content team. The Coordinator, WNT Video Production will be tasked with telling the story of our WNT players and staff in all video forms, highlighting The Best of U.S.
 
This role will oversee video content production for content surrounding the WNT, this includes all phases of the end-to-end process: shooting, field producing, and editing. It also includes an array of video content for a different platforms in a variety of forms. There will be a heavy emphasis on maximizing video content in camp and around match day, with quick turnaround of short-form content.

This individual will need to collaborate with key internal stakeholders. This includes social media on video optimized for operated platforms, Content Strategy and Partnership Marketing on branded content, and other marketing departments for different commercial objectives.

In addition to storytelling, will develop and execute video content to support the Federation’s commercial efforts: growing Insiders, driving ticket sales, supporting kit launches, working with U.S. Soccer’s partners, etc.

This role will also need to highlight the female lens is at the heart of everything we do and aligned to the WNT strategy.
Travel to team events, camps and games will be required, including holidays and weekends. This includes international travel and a valid passport is required.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Production of USWNT video content across U.S. Soccer digital platforms.
  • Produce, shoot, edit, and deliver quality visual stories of varying lengths and aspect ratios, optimized for platforms and audiences.
  • Responsible for working across departments to execute storytelling goals and objectives.
  • Conceptualize and ideate new video content series in collaboration with Content Strategy, Social Media and Partnership Marketing teams.
  • Execute video coverage and content plans at all USWNT matches and camps.
  • Ensure footage is properly organized and cataloged in U.S. Soccer's media library in conjunction with the rest of the Video Department.
  • Maintain upkeep and maintenance of U.S. Soccer video equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices in video production, and emerging technology to keep U.S. Soccer at the forefront of innovation.
  • Provide support to all Female 360 initiatives to help the team to become world leading in a female 360 approach.
  • Undertake a progressive and ongoing personal and professional developmental process attending and participating in house CPD sessions and external sessions.
  • Undertake regular performance appraisals to review your personal development plan and on and off camp progress with WNT Leadership.
  • Execute additional departmental and team tasks as requested by the Head Coach, WNT, and Program Director, WNT.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in video production, including experience field producing
  • Knowledge and/or experience in working with female athletes or with female teams
  • Proven ability to execute a project from pre-production through post-production
  • Ability to manage and prioritize both short and long-term projects
  • Ability to focus and perform in fast-paced and high pressure settings
  • Experience in the field with digital cinema cameras, sound, and lighting techniques
  • Understanding of industry trends and ways to engage an audience through video content
  • Effective and quick decision making in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • General knowledge of soccer 
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments 
  • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission 
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) 
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time both domestically and internationally
  • Passport required

Desired Qualifications
  • Passion for advancing women’s sports
  • Spanish speaking is a plus
  • Experience in news and media is a plus.
  • Familiarity with publishing in a CMS.
  • Knowledge of video best practices for platforms, specifically including social media platforms.
  • Understanding of AP style and soccer terminology
