Position Description

The Coordinator position  will provide essential support to the Soccer Forward team, ensuring the efficient execution of administrative efforts across the dpt. Reporting to the Executive Director of Soccer Forward, this role will be responsible for administrative support, program coordination, and operational assistance across Soccer Forward’s key initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating across other departments around key tasks, from communications, to events, to key meetings with stakeholders.They will also work directly with the executive director on leadership administrative tasks, from scheduling to travel to coordination with other executive leaders internally and externally. This position will also support engagement and activation departments in logistical needs around events.

Primary Responsibilities
  
Administrative & Program Support
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Director of Soccer Forward and broader Soccer Forward leadership team.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of Soccer Forward meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, and documenting key takeaways.
  • Maintain up-to-date databases and tracking systems for Soccer Forward partnerships, activations, and community programs.
  • Manage inventory and distribution of Soccer Forward-branded materials and VIK (value-in-kind) contributions for community events.
  • Assist in the management, communication, tracking and distribution of the Community Contributions Fund, ensuring timely processing of grants and donations to community partners.
  • Coordinate with communications, marketing, events, advancement, and commercial teams on key engagements where Soccer Forward is playing a role or Soccer Forward leadership has a presence.
Event & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Assist engagement and activation team in coordinating logistics for special events, workshops, and national community engagement initiatives.
  • Support the execution of Soccer Forward activations at U.S. Men’s, Women’s, and Extended National Team matches, coordinating on-site logistics and community partner engagement.
Soccer Forward Ambassador Initiatives
  • Support the coordination and logistics of the Soccer Forward Ambassador initiative, ensuring clear communication with participants and partners.
  • Assist in logistical needs in managing and engaging Soccer Forward Ambassadors
  • Track ambassador activities and contributions, ensuring proper recognition and reporting of their impact.

Requirements
  
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2-4 years of experience in administrative support, event coordination, community engagement, or sports programming.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Passion for soccer and commitment to leveraging the sport for social impact.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in face paced environment, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Desired Qualifications
  • General knowledge of soccer’s ecosystem in the U.S., including grassroots programs, leagues, and major events. Experience working with FIFA, MLS, NWSL.
  • Experience with data tracking and impact measurement for community and philanthropic programs.
