Role Summary:
The First Team Analyst will work closely with the First Team Lead Analyst to film matches, practices, and individual training content. This role will be key in analyzing team and performance while supporting the success of the Club, as a whole.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
- Films, capture, and analyze content from matches, practices, and individualized training sessions.
- Support opposition analysis (tagging games, reporting…).
- Support post-match team and individual analysis (tagging games, reporting…).
- Assist with daily workflow IDP & Set Piece coach
- Ensure video feedbacks for the technical staff about players who participated on CITY2 games in collaboration with the CITY2 Video Analyst.
- Support First Team Lead Analyst in sporting projects and research on video and performance analysis.
- Travel with the team to all away games to fulfill Video Analysis duties.
- Ensure tools are working properly before each games (Installation in the stands and on the bench).
- Live Coding matches, including away games to build review at half time with the First Team Analyst.
- Monitor and maintain video equipment and software partnerships (Hudl, Impect…).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science or Performance Analysis preferred but not required.
- Training/Coaching certification preferred but not required
Minimum Years of Experience:
- 1-3 years of video/performance analysis, sports science, or soccer coaching preferred.
Other applicable requirements:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, events, and holidays as required. This position will require flexibility of work schedule.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of the demands of an MLS season and external environments (network, etc.)
- Experience and knowledge of Analysis Software, including; Hudl, Hudl Statsbomb, WyScout, Impect…
- Strong knowledge of soccer tactics, sport science and multidisciplinary development.
- Understanding of coaching, soccer tactics, soccer strategy, and/or game management and analysis.
- Understanding of video editing, analysis, and similar software programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Apple Package (Keynote…)
