Racing Louisville FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated Communications Coordinator to support the club’s social media management, communications, and content creation. This role will work closely with Racing Louisville FC players, coaches, and staff to create engaging content that strengthens the club’s brand across digital and traditional platforms. 

While the primary focus of this position will be Racing Louisville FC, this role may also assist with communications and content efforts for Soccer Holdings’ other properties, including Louisville City FC, the LouCity & Racing Foundation, and the club’s youth academy programs.

The ideal candidate is passionate about women’s sports, understands current social media trends, and thrives in a fast-paced professional sports environment.

This role requires regular travel. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during home games, away matches, and special events. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Create, manage, and publish content across Racing Louisville FC social media platforms in alignment with brand standards and business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver engaging multimedia content across club digital platforms, including graphics, video, photography, written features, and player storytelling.
  • Draft press releases, match notes, and other club communications materials.
  • Contribute to digital content strategy and audience engagement initiatives that support club branding and business objectives.
  • Lead and support game day communications efforts, including live coverage and postgame content.
  • Support media relations activities, including interview coordination, press conferences, and collaborative storytelling initiatives across club platforms.
  • Maintain timely and accurate content across club websites and digital platforms.
  • Travel with the team and support communications efforts at away matches and club events.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in communications, social media, public relations, content creation, or digital media preferred.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, and Facebook in a professional or organizational setting.
  • Basic photography, video editing, and graphic design skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar creative tools preferred.
  • Working knowledge of soccer and enthusiasm for women’s sports strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and match days.
