San Diego FC is searching for an energetic and passionate individual to be our Part-Time Academy Equipment Manager. This position will primarily focus on the daily operations of the Club’s Academy equipment needs, laundry duties, inventory management, organizing equipment, and assisting players and coaching staff with their equipment needs. This individual will be a self-starter, with a customer service mindset, driven to serve others within an elite sports & academic environment.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Create a distribution system for new equipment, uniforms and footwear.
- Document and ensure that all equipment is properly labeled, embellished, organized, and stored for easy access by players and staff.
- Coordinate with the Head Equipment Manager the inventory of all team equipment, including game kits, training gear, and other accessories.
- Distribute, collect and repack game kits for home and away matches.
- Responsible for laundry duties, including washing, drying, and organizing team uniforms and gear.
- Ensure all kits are personally labelled and crested for staff and players.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment rooms, locker rooms, and storage areas on a daily basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates can meet the requirements with a combination of experience in the following areas:
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess outstanding character to serve, mentor and lead student athletes.
- Customer service oriented with a high work ethic, and ability to work both independently and part of a wider team.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
TIME COMMITMENT
- This is a part-time position with an expectation of 25 hours/week (5 days x 5 hours)
- Typical working hours will be from 8:00am – 1:00pm
- Must be able to also work evenings and weekends
