The Security Manager supports the day-to-day safety and security operations for the Clubs' stadium and training facilities, ensuring a secure, professional, and welcoming environment for players, staff, guests, and vendors. This role plays a key part in event operations, emergency preparedness, and coordination with public safety partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive security plan covering all aspects of stadium and training facility operations.
- Direct a multi-tiered security staff including full-time team members, event supervisors, overnight personnel, and third-party vendors.
- Serve as the primary liaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and other relevant public safety agencies.
- Lead all emergency preparedness efforts, including evacuation plans, drills, crisis response, and business continuity planning.
- Coordinate security planning for MLS and NWSL matches, high-profile events, concerts, visiting teams, VIPs, and other special events.
- Oversee all physical security systems: CCTV, access control, perimeter controls, incident management tools, and security equipment.
- Ensure full compliance with Major League Soccer and National Women’s Soccer League safety and security standards as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Respond to and manage incidents in real time, ensuring calm leadership and coordinated response.
- Conduct post-event debriefings and investigations; write reports and implement corrective measures.
- Manage the annual security budget, including staffing, technology, and training costs.
- Provide training, drills, and ongoing development for all security personnel.
- Collaborate with operations and all other organizational departments to deliver a safe and welcoming experience for all guests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 or more years of progressive security-management leadership
- Demonstrated expertise in physical security systems, emergency preparedness, and risk management.
- Proven success partnering with law enforcement and public-safety agencies.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and crisis-management skills.
- Proficiency in modern security-technology platforms and Microsoft/O365 or Google Workspace.
- Certifications: ICS/NIMS, CPR/AED/First Aid (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable hours as event schedules require.
- Ability to pass a background check and become Safe Sport certified.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a related field: Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Security Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Risk Management, Organizational Leadership.
- Preference will be given to candidates with significant prior law enforcement, security, military service, or emergency management experience.
- Working experience in professional sports or large public-assembly venues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role requires regular walking, standing, climbing stairs, and responding quickly to incidents. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. The position involves both indoor and outdoor environments and may include long hours during events.
