With two major professional teams, Orlando City and Orlando Pride, the Orlando City Soccer Club (OCSC) has established itself as one of the preeminent Clubs in professional soccer.
 
Orlando City joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015. In 2019, Orlando City re-launched Orlando City B (OCB) to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.

The Orlando Pride, OCSC’s National Women’s Soccer League franchise, began play in 2016 – bringing professional women’s soccer to Orlando for the first time.

Orlando City and Orlando Pride play at Exploria Stadium, a 25,500-seat soccer-specific stadium built in 2017 and located in the heart of Downtown Orlando.

TITLE: Project Manager

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

FLSA: Full-Time Salary; Exempt
REPORTS TO: Creative Director

 

WHAT SETS YOU APART

We're looking for a highly organized Project Manager to manage the workflow for our internal creative team. This position will be responsible for working with all departments within the organization to ensure thorough communication and adherence to process for all creative project requests. The Project Manager will be the point of contact for status updates on creative projects and will help connect team members across departments to create an efficient workflow. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage workflow for creative team within Slack & Monday.com project management tools.
  • Provide status updates and traffic feedback on creative projects across departments.
  • Help keep Creative team projects on track and deliveries on timelines.
  • Responsible for taking notes, digesting creative briefs, preparing follow-up questions, and inputting briefs into the project management system.
  • Attend weekly meetings for various internal teams (Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, Community Relations, Tickets, Communications & Content, Broadcast, etc.)  to understand and be on top of all creative organizational needs.
  • Provide Creative Director and Chief Marketing Officer with performance reports on the overall Creative team’s performance, productivity, and workload.
  • Assign creative requests/jobs to creators based on workload, skillset, and Creative Director’s input to ensure all projects are completed efficiently and as scheduled.
  • Initiate and expedite communication between all stakeholders and creative team members.
  • Manage all signage requests, from design to installation, including managing relationship and communication with third party vendors as well as communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Creative Director.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in project management or creative asset management.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Basic knowledge of video, digital, and graphic design terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must, with the ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders across the organization and across technical and non-technical disciplines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Slack, Monday.com and/or other project management tools.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours and weekends.
  • Thrives managing multiple projects simultaneously.

 

PREFERENCES:

 

  • Design / Creative agency experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Understanding and passion for American and International soccer culture
  • Bilingual / Multilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese in addition to English preferred)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
