With two major professional teams, Orlando City and Orlando Pride, the Orlando City Soccer Club (OCSC) has established itself as one of the preeminent Clubs in professional soccer.
 
Orlando City joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015. In 2019, Orlando City re-launched Orlando City B (OCB) to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.

The Orlando Pride, OCSC’s National Women’s Soccer League franchise, began play in 2016 – bringing professional women’s soccer to Orlando for the first time.

Orlando City and Orlando Pride play at Exploria Stadium, a 25,500-seat soccer-specific stadium built in 2017 and located in the heart of Downtown Orlando.

WHAT SETS YOU APART

 

The Fan Ambassador position is part of the fast-paced and exciting game day operations team within the Guest Experience Department of Orlando City and Orlando Pride Soccer Clubs. The Guest Experience Ambassador will report to the Director of Guest Experience. Fan Ambassadors are responsible for providing an exceptional and positive experience for every guest that attends an Orlando City SC or Orlando Pride game or event at Exploria Stadium.  This may include, but is not limited to, welcoming guests at our gates, checking tickets, listening to fans needs and constructive criticism on game days, and reporting all issues and feedback to the Guest Experience Department.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Have a positive attitude with a willingness to assist guests and anticipate their needs.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to each fan entering and leaving Exploria Stadium through the utilization of the Club’s service philosophy.
  • Provide accurate directions to seating sections and key attractions within Exploria
  • Stadium and the surrounding areas.
  • Proactively engage and interact with fans throughout the stadium.
  • Ensure that fan concerns are heard and reported to the appropriate departments.
  • Have full knowledge of all policies, services and facility locations.
  • Act as information liaison for all Orlando City and Orlando Pride home games and stadium events.
  • Accurately and successfully communicate all key messages to guests.
  • Project an approachable, professional attitude at all times.
  • Punctuality and professionalism are a must as related to attendance and work schedule.
  • Use tools and resources provided to you to report issues or enhance the guest experience.
  • Monitor concourse, clubs and seating areas during the game.
  • Collaborate with other departments including law enforcement, security, ushers, food service, ticket office, retail, parking, housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in customer service, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills is preferred.
  • Ability to handle stressful customer service situations with poise and be consistently
  • positive and proactive is a must.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Available for two or three trainings throughout the year.
  • Available for all (17) Orlando City home games played at Exploria Stadium, including preseason, postseason games, (7) Orlando Pride home games and additional event held at Exploria Stadium.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 to 5 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to move freely around the stadium and lift items or boxes up to 30 lbs. (i.e. folding chairs, promotional items, etc.).
  • Must have reliable transportation and be available to work for all scheduled home games.
  • Knowledge of soccer preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
