JOB TITLE: Technology Intern 
REPORTING TO:  Senior Systems Engineer 
DEPARTMENT: Technology 
LOCATION: Manhattan Office (primary), with game day responsibilities at St. John’s University and Icahn Stadium for NYCFC II, and occasional support for the 1st Team at the Orangeburg, NY facility 
COMPENSATION: $17/ hour, 30 hours per week 

This is a season long part-time internship and is expected to start asap and conclude at the end of the 2026 MLS season. 
 
POSITION OVERVIEW: 
New York City FC is seeking a Technology Intern. This role will be responsible for supporting the Technology team with day-to-day needs across the club, including staff support, equipment setup, account management, and operational assistance. This opportunity is best suited for a candidate in their final year of college, or someone actively working in a similar role, who is looking to gain real world experience in a professional sports environment.  
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO: 
  • Provide day to day technical support to staff in the Manhattan office, remotely, and at other club locations as needed 
  • Set up, organize, and maintain company devices and equipment, while assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding 
  • Respond to support requests and help troubleshoot or route issues when needed 
  • Support NYCFC II and sporting staff with day-to-day technology needs, including matchday and event setup 
  • Work with the Technology team on ongoing projects and daily responsibilities 
  • Gain exposure to larger stadium and technology related work alongside Technology Managers 
  • Opportunity to help set up stadium technology and transition to Etihad Park 
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization and, at times, across City Football Group

WHAT YOU’LL BRING: 
  • Currently in your final year of college or actively working in a similar role 
  • Strong interest in technology, sports, and working in a team environment 
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support a variety of day to day tasks 
  • Strong communication and organization skills 
  • Comfort working in a fast paced environment 
  • Ability to problem solve and provide helpful support to staff 
  • Ability to manage conflict and navigate complex situations with professionalism and sound judgment 
  • Flexibility to assist with game days, events, and occasional evening or weekend needs 
  • Familiarity with computers, mobile devices, and common workplace technology is preferred 
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC 
  • Must be able to work games scheduled which may be at night and on weekends and holidays 
  • A reliable mode of transportation
