JOB TITLE: Team Administrator – 1st Team
REPORTING TO: Vice President, Soccer Operations & Strategy

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Team Administrator – 1st Team will play a crucial role in managing the business operations of the team. This includes providing administrative support to the Soccer Operations department and managing the relevant parts of the team’s operations budget. Reporting to the VP, Soccer Operations, this position will assist in coordinating various team-related activities and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day tasks, including to facilitate the daily administration, operations, and logistics of the NYCFC 1st team.
This position involves heavy domestic travel and the ability to maintain a schedule in line with a sports team, including weekends and nights.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Player Logistics and Travel Management
- Lead in coordinating team travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and transportation, including all pre-season, in-season and post-season travel.
- Negotiate best rates in all aspects of operational expenses.
- Prepare travel itineraries and distribute necessary documents to players and staff.
- Handle the logistics of away games, training camps, and tournaments.
- Provide administrative support to players, coaching staff, and medical personnel as needed.
- Lead relevant player and staff communication and scheduling.
- Maintain player files, records, and documentation in compliance with league regulations.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the Soccer Operations department, including:
- Managing schedules, filing, and record-keeping.
- Assist with budget tracking and track expense reporting.
- Prepare reports and presentations as requested.
- Support player and staff wellness programs as directed.
- Assist with player and staff needs and concerns, maintaining confidentiality.
League Relations
- Collaborate with the Sporting Department on league-related matters and communications with MLS officials and other teams.
- Stay informed about league rules, regulations, and updates.
Game Day Operations
- Assist during home games, including understanding stadium protocols, efficient credential management, ticketing practices for all sporting staff members.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Project Management experience
- Valid driver’s license
- 3-5-years of experience in Team Administration
- Spanish speaker (strongly preferred; not necessary)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others in a collaborative manner
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, particularly tasks that are time sensitive.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office; PowerPoint, Word, Excel
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
- Compliance with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policies and any other applicable child safety guidelines.
COMPENSATION:
This non-exempt position has an estimated annual base salary range of $70,000-75,000 and has a set paid weekly salary, plus plus additional overtime pay when working more than 40 hours in one work week, based on fluctuating workweek method. Final compensation offer amounts are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise.
