POSITION OVERVIEW: 
We are looking for a passionate and driven “people-person” to join our HR team as the Manager, Human Resources. This role will lead talent strategy and full life-cycle recruitment for our club, from building talent pipelines and closing offers, to executing effective performance feedback cycles, and deploying developmental programming to drive growth and retention across the organization. The Manager, Human Resources will serve as an expert consultant to business leaders on all talent matters, including recruitment, talent management, diversity & inclusion, learning needs/opportunities and employee relations. You will report into the VP, Human Resources and support long range strategic decisions, new programs, and finding solutions to complex situations. This individual will help ensure we continue to build a diverse and supportive environment where employees flourish and are provide the tools to do amazing things.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  
  • Lead whole life cycle recruiting process for all open requisitions, including sourcing, interviewing, soliciting feedback, and coordinating offers. 
  • Build and execute elite recruiting practices, automate and streamline recruiting and hiring process to improve efficiency and ensure an outstanding candidate experience every step of the way, regardless of outcome.
  • Help drive and grow NYC FC’s employment brand as the best place to work through external branding, building, and maintaining alliances with diversity organizations and colleges/universities, attending career fairs and other on-campus and virtual recruiting events.
  • Support onboarding process and new hire orientation finding opportunities to elevate the new hire experience on day one.
  • Supervise the execution of internship program, ensuring the students have the resources they need, are exposed to a rich mix of on-the-job learning, outstanding programming and that the experience prepares candidates to seek full time roles at the company at the close of the program.
  • Establish best practice initiatives and support the execution of annual HR processes including talent review, performance planning, career development, retention initiatives and compensation review.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate business priorities into impactful short- and long-term staffing plans, identifying career paths for internal talent and/or identifying top talent externally for critical roles.
  • Assess and deploy employee training and development needs based on business strategy to help close the gaps between current and future skill sets.
  • Provide counsel to people leaders and employees on all employee relations matters; figure out underlying issues, brainstorm on solutions, document process and follow up as needed
  • Lead employee exit process, and help prepare/analyze exit interview data to identify trends and proactively suggest recommendations for programs to drive retention and engagement
  • Be an integral part of driving our diversity & inclusion agenda through thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote D&I in talent attraction, development, and retention. 

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • 4+ years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist or HRBP in a dynamic environment with specific experience in full life-cycle recruitment, talent management, employee relations and diversity & inclusion.
  • A creative thinker with proven ability to use unique recruiting methods to strengthen external employer brand and reach target audiences in the market.  
  • Shown ability to deliver client focused HR solutions to business problems.
  • A people person with the ability to build trust-based relationships and communicate effectively with a variety of partners (both internal and external).
  • Experience coaching, influencing, problem solving, and facilitation skills
  • Empathetic, client service-oriented approach with the ability to effectively interact with talent at all levels of the organization and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Solutions oriented, strategic thinker who can re-prioritize, problem-solve, and work quickly with a keen eye toward quality
  • Highly resourceful and organized with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
