The Vice President of Business Intelligence & Analytics is a strategic leader and organizational change agent, responsible for transforming how data drives decision-making across the enterprise. This executive role is accountable for the vision, development, and execution of the organization’s business intelligence, analytics, and data infrastructure strategy. The VP will lead a high-performing team, oversee all data systems and governance, and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership in identifying insights that fuel business growth, operational efficiency, and fan experience innovation. 

This role will drive collaboration across departments including sales, marketing, finance, partnerships, and game day operations—ensuring data is a central asset used to shape strategy, improve performance, and drive customer lifetime value. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on data leader and an executive-level influencer with a passion for innovation, cross-functional teamwork, and high-impact storytelling through data. 

Primary Responsibilities 
  • Lead and evolve the club’s BI strategy, ensuring data-driven insights are embedded into key business decisions and long-term planning across all departments. 
  • Partner with C-level and senior leaders to define and track KPIs, forecast business trends, and identify opportunities for growth and optimization. 
  • Oversee data governance, integrity, and infrastructure—including data warehouse architecture, CRM, and analytics tools—ensuring scalable, secure, and accurate data environments. 
  • Build and mentor a high-performing BI and analytics team, developing talent, fostering a data-driven culture, and aligning team structure with organizational goals. 
  • Oversee CRM strategy including lead distribution, pipeline tracking, and sales segmentation processes. 
  • Ensure CRM workflows and automation support the sales and service teams’ efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Advise ticketing and marketing teams on optimal Go-To-Market timeline, segmentation, and strategy and ensure campaign execution aligns with business goals. 
  • Design and implement retention modeling to predict year-over-year renewal rates and inform customer engagement initiatives. 
  • Enhance revenue and operational efficiency through pricing strategies, fan segmentation models, predictive analytics, and performance dashboards. 
  • Strategize with Corporate Partnerships to unlock insights that support partner acquisition, retention, and ROI measurement through fan behavior analytics and brand/category insights. 
  • Lead partnership rate card analysis and facilitate ROI measurement frameworks to evaluate deal performance and partnership effectiveness. 
  • Support partner recaps and equips the sales team with data-driven storytelling tools that elevate partnership pitches and renewals. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Digital teams to optimize customer journeys and personalize outreach based on deep data insights and audience segmentation. 
  • Track and evaluate marketing spend against key revenue metrics (e.g., single-game ticket sales) to measure campaign efficiency and ROI. 
  • Partner with database and marketing teams to ensure accurate campaign categorization, attribution, and post-campaign analysis. 
  • Drive the development of performance dashboards and frameworks to evaluate marketing effectiveness and inform future strategies. 
  • Champion a data-first culture, advocating for literacy, transparency, and innovation in how data is used across the business. 
  • Evaluate and implement BI tools and platforms, ensuring the technology stack meets current needs while preparing for future scalability and innovation. 

Qualifications 

Education & Experience 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields. 
  • Proven leadership in a senior BI, analytics, or data strategy role; executive-level stakeholder management experience required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) is strongly preferred. 
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or fan-based industries is a plus. 

Technical Skills 
  • Deep expertise in data architecture, analytics, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI). 
  • Proficiency in data modeling languages (e.g., R, Python) and statistical analysis. 
  • Experience managing data platforms, CRM systems, and enterprise-level BI tools. 

Leadership & Soft Skills 
  • Demonstrated success in leading and scaling high-performance teams. 
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to connect data to business impact. 
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills; able to distill complex data into compelling narratives. 
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Sound decision-making, solid judgment, and interpersonal effectiveness.
