The Washington Spirit are seeking a Matchday DJ for the 2026 season and beyond. The Matchday DJ is a high-energy individual who will provide memorable experiences to Washington Spirit at each home match by enhancing the overall fan experience and entertainment. The Matchday DJ operates under the direction of the Washington Sprit Events team.
Auditions will be held on January 20th, 21st and 22nd
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as the DJ during all Washington Spirit home matches, providing music for pre-game, in-game and post-game
- Become familiar with matchday to deliver a smooth, engaging performance
- Monitor the game flow and be able to improvise and take direction.
- Attend rehearsals where necessary and provide feedback to continually improve the overall matchday fan experience.
- Serve as brand ambassador for the Washington Spirit while properly representing the organization in a professional manner at all times
- This position can potentially be combined with the Matchday Host/Emcee position if a candidate is qualified for both.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidates will reside locally.
- Must be available for all home Spirit matches at Audi Field.
- Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous DJ experience required.
- Indoor and outdoor work with some exposure to adverse conditions.
- Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in support of matches and events.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination prior to employment start date.
