The Washington Spirit is seeking an Account Executive, Membership Sales who will be instrumental in driving ticket revenue through the sale of full and partial season memberships. This role focuses on building strong relationships with fans across the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia communities while delivering a best-in-class membership experience.
This position is responsible for generating new business through proactive outreach, handling inbound inquiries, and cultivating leads through community engagement and events. The Account Executive will play a key role in growing the Spirit’s membership base while creating meaningful connections that turn fans into long-term supporters.

Key Responsibilities
Membership Sales & Revenue Generation
- Drive revenue through the sale of full season and partial season ticket memberships
- Execute outbound sales campaigns targeting qualified B2C leads
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals while delivering a high level of service
- Handle inbound ticket inquiries and convert prospects into members
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Proactively identify new sales opportunities through referrals, networking, and prospecting
- Generate leads through matchday activations, sales tables, and community events
- Host prospective members for stadium tours, meetings, and personalized sales experiences
Relationship Management & Client Experience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members to drive retention and long-term engagement
- Deliver a premium customer experience throughout the sales process and beyond
- Serve as a trusted resource for clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care
Collaboration & Event Participation
- Participate in home matches, sales events, and community activations to support overall team goals
- Collaborate with internal departments to enhance the membership experience and drive engagement
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions and sales activity within the CRM system
- Track pipeline activity, outreach efforts, and performance metrics to inform sales strategy
- Support additional sales initiatives and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Minimum of 8 months of sales experience, preferably in sports or entertainment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive with a positive attitude
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
- Experience working in professional or collegiate sports
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Archtics and Ticketmaster

Location
This role is based in Falls Church, VA, with a hybrid work structure and frequent presence at matches and events in Washington DC.
