The Racing Louisville FC Youth Academy is a professional youth soccer organization located in Louisville, KY. The youth academy is directly linked with Racing Louisville FC (NWSL) and Louisville City FC (USL Championship), providing youth athletes ages 7-19 with a player-centered learning environment to develop their full potential and maximize their pathway to professional or collegiate soccer.  Racing Louisville Academy teams and players compete in the USL W, ECNL, ECNL RL, Pre-ECNL, KPL, and KSSL. 

We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Coaching to provide player promotion, coaching, management, and leadership for Racing Louisville FC Youth Academy teams. This position will report to the Racing Louisville FC Academy Director. 
 
Ideal candidates should have coaching experience in the ECNL or comparable league, college and/or professional playing experience, a history of developing club-wide programming, and working knowledge of video analysis & software preferred. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and paid time off.  Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, nights, and weekends.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1.       Provide coaching responsibilities for multiple teams within the Racing Louisville FC Youth Academy. 
2.       Conduct developmental on-field soccer coaching sessions for all assigned teams within the Academy.
3.       Collaborates with Academy Directors to create, establish, and implement new programs for the benefit of academy players and parents.
4.       Manages and executes club-based developmental programming.
5.       Supports and promotes the club by participating in organization growth opportunities. 
6.       Collaborates with coaching staff to create a positive and productive environment for players and their families.
7.       Provides players with professional development and college recruitment strategies.
8.       Monitors the SportsRecruits program for placement of prospective athletes.
9.       Oversees and maintains updated NCAA eligibility requirements. 
10.   Coordinates team travel for ECNL and other showcase events.
11.   Experience with soccer periodization and innovative soccer methodology linked to a playing model. 
12.   Works with team managers to schedule travel for league, tournament, and event participation.
13.   Directs the scheduling and uploading of the team video.
14.   Other duties and projects as assigned.

BACKGROUND, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-         Minimum USSF C license or comparable experience. USSF B License preferred. 
-         Professional, National team, ECNL, or comparable level experience.
-         Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3-5 years working and/or playing experience.
-         Previous youth-level coaching experience required.  
-         Experience working with female players at the Collegiate level or U15 level and above is preferred.
-         Strong coaching knowledge at various levels. 
-         Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-         Must add positive value to the culture of the club
-         Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, nights, and weekends.
-         Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
-         Demonstrates a positive, energetic, and pleasant demeanor when communicating with staff, players, and families.
-         Exceptional organizational skills, reliability, and punctuality.
-         Must successfully pass a pre-employment comprehensive background check.
-         Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to walk significant distances, including up and down stairs, as required throughout the venue, as well as stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with tasks.
Ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse weather conditions (i.e., heat, rain, cold, snow, wind).
