Overview: San Diego Wave FC is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Part-Time Dishwasher to join our First Team Performance Culinary Team. Reporting directly to the Executive First Team Chef, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our kitchen while supporting the preparation of high-performance meals for our professional athletes.
As part of the culinary team, you’ll be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment to the highest standards. You’ll also assist with maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for the culinary team to deliver world-class meals for the players.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and prep areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Assist the culinary team with food preparation tasks as needed.
- Help with inventory management by organizing and storing kitchen supplies.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order and report any issues to the Executive First Team Chef.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Prior experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on game days.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Passion for sports and a strong understanding of the role food plays in athlete performance is a plus.
This role is hourly base compensation of $18/hr - $20/hr.
