Overview: San Diego Wave FC is seeking a Part-Time Banquet Room Attendant to join our First Team Performance Culinary Team. Reporting to the Executive First Team Chef, you will assist in ensuring that our athletes receive the highest quality nutrition in a safe and efficient manner. As a Banquet Room Attendant, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering food and beverages within the first team training facility, as well as maintaining a clean and organized food service environment.
This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent service skills, and a commitment to helping the team’s athletes fuel their performance. Your role will directly support the daily meal service and overall wellbeing of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food and beverages to players’ rooms or designated areas in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in preparing & delivering meals, snacks, and hydration for athletes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in food storage areas and meal prep zones.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to the Executive First Team Chef.
- Help ensure that meals meet specific nutritional and dietary requirements of each player.
- Assist with meal setup and breakdown, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
- Respond to player dietary preferences and special requests with attention to detail and professionalism.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Prior experience in food service, room service, or hospitality is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for supporting athletes in their nutrition and performance goals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on game days.
- A general interest in sports and nutrition is a plus.
This role is hourly base compensation of $18/hr - $20/hr.
