SUMMARY:
The North Carolina Football Club, owner and operator of two affiliated professional soccer teams: the North Carolina Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC (USL Championship), is seeking a Full-Time Live Production and IT Manager.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of broadcast control rooms and staffing needs to execute a live event production as well as equipment best practices, managerial experience in broadcast control room setting, and basic experience with video post-production and graphic creation software. This individual will possess strong communication and organizational skills and be able to work efficiently on short deadlines, including balancing multiple projects simultaneously. Driving the enhancement of every fan's experience by planning and executing captivating on-field activations, collaborating with diverse teams for seamless execution, and actively engaging with fans to build an unwavering supporter base. This role promises an adrenaline-pumping blend of creativity, coordination, and fan interaction, making each game day an unforgettable spectacle. 


Job Responsibilities:
  • Plans, strategizes and leads execution of live sporting event productions for NCFC’s in-venue video boards. Creates overall game presentation ROS, coordinates with internal departments for execution, and leads ideation of game presentation elements. 
  • Works together with internal departments in terms of requirements, event schedules, and production needs in order to meet desired outcomes. 
  • Oversees the production of live events, with responsibilities including show calling, directing, technical directing, and operation of replay and graphics machines. 
  • Conceptualizes and assists in execution of overall in-venue branding and design. Generates new ideas and concepts to “level-up” the in-game experience for fans and partners. 
  • Works closely with marketing staff, partnerships, and broadcast partners as well as existing outsourced staff to ensure all sponsorship and marketing content is properly developed, displayed and executed on videoboards. 
  • Supports oversight of financial budget for daily operations, equipment, staffing and maintenance. 
  • Coordinates and supervises training and development of full and part-time staff, interns, and freelancers in proper control room and production techniques and best practices. 
  • Maintains technical knowledge needed to execute broadcasts to the specifications of league and department partners.  
  • Performs equipment upgrades and ensures secure operation procedures. 
  • Maintain basic knowledge of networking concepts including management of IP addresses and networking new devices 
  • Assists with IT related needs of organization during the week and on gamedays as needed. 
  • Leading and managing the execution and development of all LED content on gamedays and as needed during the week. Proficient in manipulation of LED video board content using Adobe CC Suite  
 
Qualifications: 
  • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in broadcast & media production, communication studies or another related field, and a minimum of 3 years of video industry experience in television broadcast, live-streaming, and video board production.  
  • Interface and manage day-to-day relationships with partnerships, freelance staff, marketing, operations, and communications groups. 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 
  • Proficient on all Company provided hardware and software, including Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in Ross Video production equipment including Xpression CG and Carbonite Switchers. Proficient in Click Effects Crossfire and Blaze products. Proficient with replay systems such as 3Play, Grass Valley K2 Dyno, and Evertz DreamCatcher. 
  • Strong grasp of Control Room workflows and best practices  
  • Excellent written and oral communication, client service, and project management skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management 
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and frequent change, delays or unexpected events  
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external partners  
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamless with excellent attention to detail  
  • Analyze and rectify technical faults on equipment and systems. 
  • Minimize loss of service at times of equipment failure by rapidly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provision 
  • Keep up to date of constant changes in technology by investing new systems, techniques, and equipment
