Human Resources Intern – Fall 2025 (August - November) - NC Courage and North Carolina FC

The North Carolina Football Club, the parent organization of the NC Courage (first-division women’s pro soccer team playing in the NWSL) and North Carolina FC (third-division men’s pro soccer team playing in USL League One), is seeking an HR Intern. As an HR Intern, you will be responsible for assisting the HR department in various administrative tasks and gain practical experience in human resources functions. You will work closely with HR professionals to support the overall People & Culture operations of the organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about different HR functions and gain invaluable hands-on experience in a professional work environment.

Responsibilities: 
  1. Recruitment support: 
  • Assist in job posting creation and distribution on various platforms. 
  • Screen resumes and applications, and schedule interviews. 
  • Coordinate logistics for interviews and assessments. 
  • Assist in conducting reference checks and background verifications. 
2. Employee onboarding: 
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork and organizing orientation materials. 
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. 
3. HR documentation and record keeping: 
  • Maintain and update employee records and databases. 
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and presentations. 
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations. 
4. Employee engagement and events: 
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives and events. 
5. HR policies and procedures: 
  • Assist in updating and maintaining HR policies and procedures. 
  • Support in communicating policies and procedures to employees. 
6. General administrative tasks: 
  • Assist in maintaining HR files, documents, and forms. 
  • Provide administrative and support to the HR team as needed. 

Requirements: 
  • Interested in pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
