Who are we hiring?
The Team Manager, reporting to the Director of Soccer Operations, plays a critical role in delivering world-class soccer experiences within the Kansas City Current ecosystem. This position is trusted with the responsibility of managing the logistics and operations for the first team of Kansas City Current, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. This role requires extreme organization, logistics management and forward planning.
What will you do?
- Coordinate all elements of KC Current first team travel: flights, ground transportation, hotel, and training venues.
- Organize and communicate team schedules and information across the club.
- Work with away team venues and personnel to ensure seamless execution of match day process.
- Coordinate and manage team-related match-day operations for KC Current home games.
- Work cross-functionally with internal departments (venue operations, public relations, security, etc.) and external partners to execute successful processes, projects, and events.
- Compile and submit expenses, invoices, and reimbursements as necessary.
- Organize domestic and international travel and logistics for club staff.
- Advance the team to venues and prepare all hotel, training sites, and ground transportation for team arrival.
- Anticipate and solve logistical challenges in real-time with professionalism and efficiency.
- Interface with the Head of Operations on team environment requirements and team objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
Required
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems in high pace and high stress environments
- Interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- A passion for delivering high-level team and fan experiences in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in logistics or team services within sports, preferably soccer.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to travel out of state/country for consecutive days.
Preferred
- Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate venues for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for event setup, equipment management, or assisting with operational needs.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, and reaching overhead to handle various tasks related to facility management, equipment, and event preparation.
- Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
