Who are we hiring?
The Manager, Youth Programming, will support the development and implementation of all youth soccer programs, camps and clinics for The KC Current in addition to sourcing third-party field rentals at the KC Current Youth Complex. They will be responsible for securing fields, managing coaching staff, athletic training staff, equipment, schedules, registration, budget, and positive PR for the club. The purpose of these programs is to further the reach of the club into the Kansas City market in both youth participation and development.
What will you do?
Source third-party events at the youth complex, training center, and Riverside Stadium
o Negotiate terms, finalize contracts, and ensure payment for all third-party events
o Manage relationships with external parties
o Coordinate the execution of all events alongside the operations team
Assist with the fulfillment of all KC Current youth programming including, but not limited to:
o Organize and assist in the running of camps, clinics and talent ID events throughout the year
o Coordinate with the soccer operations team to ensure appropriate staffing and program curriculum
o Support operations team to execute all programs, inclusive of coordinating staffing and equipment needs
o Develop, implement, and manage the camp registration process
o Assist in creating a marketing plan for all programs in collaboration with the marketing team
o Provide exceptional customer service to camp and training program clients
o Coordinate with internal departments, including soccer operations, event operations, marketing, and partnerships, to ensure the successful execution of all programs
Represent KC Current with top-class appearance and professionalism

What do you need to succeed?
- Experience in event programing management, especially in youth sports
- Experience planning or executing large-scale sporting events
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to plan sessions in coordination with coaching staff
- Knowledge of NWSL/KC Current soccer landscape preferred
- Exceptional organization, communication, presentation, and management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Special requirements of the Job:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
- Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time, often during events or facility setup and breakdown.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for event setup, equipment management, or assisting with operational needs.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, and reaching overhead to handle various tasks related to facility management, equipment, and event preparation.
- Must be capable of working in physically demanding environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, and elevated platforms during venue conversions.
- Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
