Who are we hiring?
The Electrical Engineer performs a variety of tasks related to the stadium, and surrounding facilities regarding analyzing, correcting, and repairing electrical problems, electrical equipment, and controls. Other responsibilities include construction, repair, maintenance, upkeep, and safe operations of related facilities. Assists with field and facility conversions preparing for various events. The Electrical Engineer will have knowledge of electrical disciplines and a strong willingness to work in a team environment.
 
What will you do?
  • Responsible for maintenance on all electrical equipment at CPKC stadium - including upgrades and replacements.
  • Maintain clearance around electric panels, transformers, etc.
  • Accurately maintain records of labor time, parts used, and work accomplished.
  • Primary responsibility will be the maintenance, inspection, calibration, and repair of all electrical systems and associated equipment mentioned above.
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders utilizing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Possess computer skills necessary to input and modify work orders in a CMMS.
  • Performance of all corrective and preventive maintenance duties related to the above-mentioned systems.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required in a team-oriented, can-do environment.
  • Experience in all single/three phase electrical systems including 277/480-volt, 110/208 volt.
  • A complete working knowledge of all electrical tools, testers, meters, and gauging devices. VOM’s amp meters, load devices, circuit testers, toners, etc.
  • Technical troubleshooting and repair of all electrical; fire-life safety; lighting control; and AV systems.
  • Previous event experience with light audio-visual work is preferred.
  • Understanding of all current safety procedures including but not limited to: safety equipment, lock out – tag out devices, load shedding, proper energizing/de-energizing process.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of low voltage and control panel trouble shooting procedures.
  • Proficient in installation of switches, outlets, disconnects, breakers, installing fuses, and putting together cable ends and splicing wires.
  • Thorough understanding of all electrical work related to fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, heating and air conditioning equipment, building automated systems, DDC &VFD drives.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines and function under stress.
  • Experience with electronic preventive maintenance programs preferred.
  • Ability to climb stairs, lift 50 lbs. unaided and perform work at high heights.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA requirements.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Travel is not expected in this role.

What do you need to succeed?
  • Must possess High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Licensed Journeyman Electrical; Master Electrician License highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with maintenance and repair of electrical power generating equipment and auxiliary highly desirable.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.
  • Self-motivated and able to on an individual basis with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Able to provide on-call coverage when scheduled.
 
Special requirements of the Job:
This job operates in an office and stadium environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. This position will work in various weather conditions including, but not limited to, heat, cold, rain and sunny environments. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a very active role. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. This role will include the following frequently:
  • Heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing/walking for extended periods of time.
  • Carrying and/or transporting heavy objects, usually by hand, arm, or shoulder.
  • Pushing, pulling, and exerting force to complete tasks and assignments.
  • Forklift and/or scissor lift certification preferred.
