The HR is team is seeking an experienced HR professional with enthusiasm and creativity. Reporting to General Counsel, the HR Director will play a key role in talent acquisition, supporting employees and business functions. We are looking for a proactive individual, who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a strong foundation of HR best practices and recruiting. 

Who are we hiring?  Director, Human Resources

What will you do?
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all Human Resources functions, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals and overall business strategy.
  • Oversee and refine the full talent acquisition process for full-time, part-time, and event day personnel, ensuring a strong employer brand and effective, inclusive recruitment strategies.
  • Evaluate and optimize HR systems (HRIS and ATS), ensuring technology supports efficiency, scalability, and a positive candidate and employee experience; make recommendations for future enhancements.
  • Lead organizational development and workforce planning initiatives, partnering with department heads to anticipate and address staffing and capability needs.
  • Oversee performance management, succession planning, and talent review processes to ensure a culture of accountability and continuous growth.
  • Direct the strategy and continued development of student intern and early career programs, enhancing learning, mentorship, and retention outcomes.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement, retention, and culture strategies that drive connection, inclusion, and organizational success.
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on HR policy, compliance, and organizational culture, ensuring consistency with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Foster a high-performing HR team through coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Represent the HR function in cross-functional meetings and strategic planning sessions, acting as a trusted thought partner.
 
Required Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
  • 10-15 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or strategic HR role
  • Proven experience leading full-cycle HR functions including talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement
  • Strong HRIS and ATS experience (Paycor and TeamWorks Online preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a track record of building trusted partnerships across all levels
  • High degree of strategic thinking, independence, and accountability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or event-based industries
  • Master’s degree or advanced certification in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, etc.)
  • Experience leading organizational change or culture transformation initiatives

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
  • Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives. 
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time, often during events as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed for event setup, equipment management, or assisting with operational needs.
