Who are we hiring? Current Cultivators are the face of KC Current in communities across the region. This role is designed for individuals who want hands-on experience in sports marketing, fan engagement, and brand representation while helping grow women’s sports.
The Current Cultivator will play a vital role in representing KC Current engaging with the community at regional events within a 3-hour driving radius from CPKC stadium. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, personable, and passionate about women's sports and the mission of KC Current. This role requires a strong commitment to promoting our brand, engaging with fans, and assisting in fan engagement initiatives.
This is a part-time, highly variable event-based role. Hours range from 0-29 hours a week, based on number of events, event needs, etc. The events will be held at various venues and cities regionally within a 3-hour driving radius of CPKC Stadium in Missouri and Kansas.
What will you do?
- Serve as an ambassador for KC Current at community events and promotional activities.
- Engage with fans and the community to promote the KC Current brand, mission, and values.
- Distribute promotional materials to increase exposure and awareness of the team and drive fan participation.
- Gather and report fan feedback to support continuous fan experience improvement.
- Proactively encourage event attendees to fill out “Enter to Win” giveaways and meet event-based Lead Generation goals.
- Maintain accurate inventory information for swag items.
- All other duties and directives assigned by Experiential Field Marketing Manager or their designee.
- Actively contribute to event activation goals measured by specific numeric targets per event (e.g., # of email sign-ups, contest entries, interaction counts).

- Be comfortable with initiating conversations with passersby and event attendees about KC Current and encouraging them to participate and interact with the brand.
Qualifications:
- Reside or be accessible within a commutable distance for shifts
- High School diploma or equivalent; college degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in brand ambassadorship, marketing and/or sales, or customer service is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences with enthusiasm.
- Passion for women’s sports and a commitment to supporting KC Current’s mission.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time, often during events or facility setup and breakdown.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for event setup, equipment management, or assisting with operational needs.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, and reaching overhead to handle various tasks related to facility management, equipment, and event preparation.
- Must be capable of working in physically demanding environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, and elevated platforms during venue conversions.
- Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
