Who are we hiring?
Kansas City Current is seeking an Accounting Analyst that will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a proven track record of detail and accuracy. The Accounting Analyst will support all elements of the accounting function.
What will you do?
- Complete month-end close activities to ensure a timely close
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations on timely basis
- Create, monitor and post prepaid and accrual entries
- Assist the accounts payable and receivable functions
- Maintain financial reporting for match day related revenue and expenses
- Support preparation of annual budgets and variance analysis of actual to budget throughout the year
- Support modeling and actual reporting for third party stadium events
- Assist in gathering and preparing information for the annual financial audit
- Assist with other external and internal reporting
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Must possess the ability to work independently, make decisions, take appropriate actions, and follow through tasks to completion within a fast-paced environment with deadlines
Preferred
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics-Business Central and Solver Reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
Special requirements of the Job:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
- Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time, often during events or facility setup and breakdown.
- Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer
