Purpose of the Job
Houston Dash is seeking candidates for a VP of Growth for the Houston Dash to report to the President of Business Operations. This individual will be the most senior Houston Dash dedicated business leader, playing a major role in shaping the engagement strategy of the Houston Dash Professional Women's Soccer Team. This forward thinker will build and execute growth initiatives in collaboration with existing business functions to enhance the team's visibility, drive fandom, increase attendance and grow the Dash commercial portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead efforts, with support of the executive team (CRO, CMO, COO/CFO), to amplify and communicate the team's unique identity and vision, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals, culture, and values.
• Collaborate with analytics, ticketing and partnership teams to grow the Dash attendance and portfolio of partners, foster mutually beneficial relationships and enhance new and existing programming to improve the team's reach and relevance.
• Collaborate with marketing leadership to influence retail strategy, product variety and consumer product offerings to improve Dash merchandise sales.
• Collaborate with digital marketing team on social, content, and digital execution to drive strategies, engagement, and incremental exposure to athletes and Dash brand, driving the visibility and reputation of the Club.
• Collaborate with PR and communications team on individual athlete profiles and brand plans to support and amplify positioning of the brand, team and roster.
• Develop and execute community engagement initiatives to build stronger connections with fans, local organizations, and the broader Houston and surrounding areas.
• Support the General Manager and team operations department in efforts to attract and retain a portfolio of world-class athletes that align with the team's values and performance goals.
• Assist Chief of Staff with professional development programming strategy for players and staff, including building bridges to support athletes in considering post-playing career opportunities.
• Cross functional work with key stakeholders across various departments, including business intelligence, ticketing, event operations, community engagement, and partnership, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and initiatives.
• Serve as the internal resource for developments in women's sports news, social media trends, competitor ideas, and innovation.

Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field - required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of full-time sports marketing and/or entertainment experience with team(s), league, brand and/or agency in marketing or sales capacity– required. Team experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – required. 
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays based on soccer season schedule – required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish – preferred.

• Establish contacts within and knowledge of global women’s sports, including but not limited to NWSL and global women’s football.
• Agility to respond optimally to the constantly evolving needs of a fast-paced organization and industry and work on tight deadlines with accuracy.
• Strong work ethic with an attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize projects and multi-task.
• Ability to identify problems and their root causes, and to develop and recommend effective solutions. Exceptional written and oral communication skills at all levels of the organization and with external contacts. • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and compromise amongst peers.
