The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking a Vice President of Facilities and Operations who will report to the Chief Operating Officer with an indirect line to the General Manager. The successful candidate will have experience in facility operations and project management and exceptional attention to detail. They will have a passion for women’s sports and/or soccer, ability to work non-traditional hours, live in NJ/NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, execution, and continued operation and innovation of the Gotham Performance Facilities to create and maintain a world class, high performance environment
- Serve as the senior leader accountable for vendor and contractor performance, defining goals and KPIs and collaborating closely with Sporting Operations to drive alignment, accountability, and results.
- Oversee facility operations, security and grounds team of the performance facility
- Lead and drive projects to completion as directed by the COO and General Manager, fostering collaboration and ensuring seamless communication to meet deadlines and achieve organizational goals.
- Work cross functionally with COO and General Manager on strategic planning, budgeting and long term growth initiatives
- Build and manage the strategy for commercialization of the facility spaces for short and long term
- Serve as a resource and facilitate regular collaboration between Sporting and Operations to share and implement best practices, standardize processes and troubleshoot challenges
- Supervise and lead facilities staffing and project management efforts across multiple buildings, departments, partners, ensuring seamless coordination and communication
- Establish and nurture relationships with venue owners, operators, and event stakeholders, fostering effective collaboration and partnership
- Create, manage, and maintain venue agreement status trackers, coordinate venue-related meetings, prepare materials, collate meeting notes, and identify action items for follow-up
- Support coordination, scheduling and materials preparation for cross-functional venue operational planning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, emphasis on facility or project management preferred
- 7+ years of experience in operations, project management, administration, or facilities leadership in sports
- Direct experience working for teams, leagues, and/or similar sports organizations
- Experience with renovation or construction projects, real estate management, or other complex special project management
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Experience overseeing and managing third-party vendors and contractors and communicating ownership/leadership vision into executable concepts
- Excellent budgeting and financial planning skills with the ability to think innovatively to find cost savings and efficiencies across departments

Location:
This role will work between Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey and Gotham FC’s soccer operations office and practice facility, located in Whippany, New Jersey. Between the two locations, there is an expectation of three in-person days, with the ability to be on location more depending on project needs. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Salary range: Between $180,000 and $200,000 annually, depending on experience
