NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ. The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking a Temp Community & Social Impact Program Coordinator who will support the Community & Social Impact team in executing the Club’s community/social impact programs, game days and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Gotham FC’s CarMax Kids program outreach and nonprofit organization relations; program coordination
- Support Gotham FC’s Keep Her in the Game pres. by Dove program events (e.g., youth practice visits and coach trainings); program coordination
- Support game day community/social impact program operations, including hosting guests and managing all program or activation components pre-game, in-game, and post-game
- Support the admin of Gotham’s Community & Social Impact team, such as organizing and mailing program materials, managing community webpage(s) and forms, or executing program events outside of game day as needed

Core Qualifications:
- 1-3 years in a Community Relations or Program Management role, ideally in a Sports or Community/Nonprofit Organization
- Solutions-oriented with the ability to think outside of the box
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and seek feedback
- Ability to foster genuine relationships with a diverse group of individuals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management; strong ability to track work progress and manage data for internal and external reporting
- Experience planning and executing game day activations and/or community events
- Knowledge of the surrounding NY and NJ area, especially nonprofit community organizations
Capability & Other Characteristics:
- Ability to act as a brand ambassador for Gotham FC, always leading with the utmost professionalism
- Demonstrate the highest level of integrity
- Possesses a deep passion for women’s sports and generating visibility for the team and the brand within the NJ/NY community
- Passion for community and social impact, especially across women’s advancement, youth access to soccer, LGBTQIA+ rights & advocacy, and sustainability
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand comfortably for several hours at a time
Location:
Ability to work out of Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, on three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Sports Illustrated Stadium.
