NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ.
The Role:
Gotham FC is looking for a highly organized, creative, and proactive Growth Marketing Coordinator to support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives that grow our brand, engage our audience, and drive meaningful results. This person should have strong event management skills, with the ability to confidently support logistics, preparation, coordination, and on-site execution from start to finish. They should also be a strong creative writer who is comfortable drafting compelling, on-brand email copy and other marketing communications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and equally comfortable managing the operational details of an event and crafting thoughtful brand messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the sourcing, coordination, and execution of Gotham FC Street Team events, activations, and other experiential marketing initiatives from initial preparation through on-site execution.
- Manage event logistics, including timelines, run-of-show documents, vendor coordination, materials, shipping, staff communications, and day-of needs.
- Support Brand Marketing Manager with day-to-day management of approximately 25 part-time employees, including but not limited to scheduling, staff onboarding, communication, and event management.
- Draft engaging, on-brand email copy for marketing campaigns, event communications, promotions, and other audience touchpoints with a knowledge of HubSpot preferred.
- Partner with internal creative and marketing teams to develop creative assets and marketing materials.
- Coordinate marketing projects across internal teams and external partners, helping keep deliverables, timelines, and stakeholders organized and on track.
- Monitor email and event performance, helping gather insights and identify opportunities to improve future initiatives, including proactively sourcing events and opportunities in our target geographic areas.
- Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, event plans, and other organizational tools to ensure strong communication and execution across initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a 4-year college degree
- Strong event planning, logistics, preparation, and on-site execution skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with close attention to detail
- Strong creative writing and copywriting skills
- Comfort drafting brand and marketing email copy from concept through final execution
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and willingness to jump in wherever needed
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across creative, marketing, partnerships, and other teams
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to lift (25) pounds and perform some manual labor

- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across internal teams, external vendors, and partners
- Initiative: Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of projects while identifying opportunities to improve execution and processes
- Passion: Interest and passion for sports and an eagerness to grow the game
Location:
This position will require working three days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey. Club employees have the opportunity to work two remote days (Monday and Friday) from home. The Growth Marketing Coordinator will be required to attend all Gotham FC home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium, as well as attend some Street Team events throughout the year.
