NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ. The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking an Executive Producer of Game Presentation & Entertainment who will lead and enhance the overall fan experience for Gotham FC matches, ensuring every aspect of gameday contributes to fan engagement and satisfaction. 

You will lead and produce Gotham FC’s full-season game presentation strategy, from pre-match through post-match, aligning with theme nights, club traditions, partner activations, and ticketing initiatives. You’ll be responsible for elevating the fan experience through engaging storytelling, live entertainment, and seamless production execution. This role is both creative and operational, requiring strong leadership in live event production, cross-departmental collaboration, and control room management. This position reports to the VP of Brand and Fan Experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Game Presentation Leadership
  • Own the development and execution of Gotham FC’s matchday experience across all elements: pregame, in-match, halftime, and postgame.
  • Build and maintain a season-long game presentation plan that integrates theme nights, group experiences, promotions, and evolving fan traditions.
  • Call and direct all home matches, commanding control room operations and ensuring cohesive delivery across lighting, sound, video, graphics, and live entertainment.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and lead a team of field producers responsible for managing on-field activities, live promotions, and in-match entertainment.
  • Develop staffing plans and run-of-show assignments that align with match programming and operational needs.
  • Manage, source and mentor in-stadium talent (in-stadium DJ, in-match host, PA Announcer), hype crew, and control room staff ensuring high standards of execution and communication.
  • Serve as the direct manager for the Junior Graphic Designer, providing creative feedback, prioritizing workload, and supporting professional development to align with the broader fan experience vision.

Planning & Coordination
  • Write and manage detailed game scripts (via ShoFlo), including creative copy for talent and cueing across departments (PA, music, lighting, video, performance, partnerships).
  • Lead weekly match production meetings and serve as the central point of coordination across internal departments and external vendors.
  • Collaborate with Partnership Marketing, Ticketing, and Marketing teams to integrate sponsor activations, promotions, and fan experiences into matchday plans.
  • Oversee timelines and delivery of all production assets (graphics, videos, sponsor elements) via shared platforms (Box, Google Drive, etc.).
  • Partner with venue control room staff to test, load, and troubleshoot all technical content ahead of matchdays.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to align on logistics for all in-match entertainment, ensuring compliance with stadium requirements, safety protocols, and timelines.
  • Secure participants and VIP talent for pregame traditions, on-field recognitions or special presentations.
  • Collaborate with Partnership Marketing to ensure all sponsor deliverables are fulfilled and executed to brand standards, while developing new concepts and creative opportunities for partners that enhance fan engagement and add value to the in-stadium experience.
  • Coordinate with the NWSL and other league representatives to ensure compliance and alignment with all league-wide initiatives, brand campaigns, and match presentation guidelines.
  • Manage communication and logistics for VIP guests, honorees, and special talent appearances to ensure a seamless and professional matchday experience.
  • Source and manage entertainment vendors and special programming (e.g., National Anthem performers, halftime talent, pyro, performers).
  • Collaborate with the Design team to concept and deliver all in-stadium graphics, ensuring visual consistency and alignment with club branding and themes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Ticketing team to plan and execute Fan Experience Packages (FEPs) and group experiences, including on-field performances, pregame ceremonies, on-field parades, and other presentations.

Fan Experience & Innovation
Oversee fan engagement elements such as contests, trivia, and interactive videoboard features that enhance the live experience.
  • Monitor fan feedback and matchday analytics to evolve and innovate programming.
  • Develop scalable and engaging fan and group experiences that drive sales while enhancing the overall matchday atmosphere.
  • Identify new opportunities to create memorable fan moments that strengthen community connection and contribute to ticketing and retention goals.
  • Support the development of new traditions and moments that strengthen the Gotham FC brand and community connection.
  • Build strong relationships with Gotham FC supporter groups and fan collectives to foster collaboration, enhance matchday atmosphere, and create shared traditions that celebrate club culture

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Production, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant live event/game presentation experience.
  • Proven experience calling and producing live sports events in a control room environment.
  • Strong understanding of sponsorship integration, ticketing-driven activations, and multi-brand collaborations.
  • Proficiency in ShoFlo (cloud-based event scripting and show-calling software) or similar production management platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent events and deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with experience managing staff and cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and the ability to provide creative direction and feedback on visual content. 
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in live entertainment or sports presentation.
  • Ability to make quick, sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by match schedule.

Capability & Other Characteristics:
  • Experience in professional soccer or familiarity with global soccer fan culture.
  • Background in game presentation, entertainment marketing, fan engagement, or live event production.
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Calm under pressure, collaborative, and solutions-oriented.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Location: 
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary.  A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Sports Illustrated Stadium.
