NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ. The Role:
The Operations & Player Care Coordinator will manage the Professional Player Pathway operations by facilitating daily administration, planning, and budget maintenance. This position will specifically be responsible for Gotham FC’s 2nd team and Development Center (DC) operations, player care, and off-the-field equipment management.

Key Responsibilities:
Generic Duties
  • Oversee management of day-to-day Gotham FC 2nd team & Development Center (DC) operations
  • Oversee player care, support, and communication
  • Maintain budgets for Gotham FC Professional Player Pathway operations, players and travel
  • Manage annual ID tournament/tryouts
  • Maintain good standing with NWSL, USSF, and other national team federations
  • Assist on vision and planning of the program’s future growth
  • When necessary (players living in the market):
    • Manage new contracted and training players in and out of market (visa appointments, flights, accommodations, etc.)
    • Manage athlete and staff relocation in and out of market and oversee management of player housing and transportation
    • Oversee management of U18 player communication & care
Specific Duties
Administrative
  • Be the main point of contact on payroll, compliance, and miscellaneous paperwork
  • Act as liaison between front office and players and provide insight on club events 
  • Maintain good standing and communication with the 1st team operation department
  • Processing and approving invoices and reimbursements
  • Coding monthly credit card statements
2nd Team & Development Center
  • Manage 2nd team & DC calendar as it relates to meetings, training times/locations, and reserving spaces as necessary by working with coaching staff and 1st team operation staff
  • Manage home and away game day operations, including securing facilities and overseeing visiting team logistics (home) and travel logistics, player care needs and game day ops (away)
  • Coordinate with nutrition staff on daily team meals
  • Coordinate home gameday operations including (team meals, parking list, referees, volunteers…)
  • Manage all equipment for players and staff off the field (daily gear and locker room reset)
  • Manage Nike account, orders, shipments and next season gear planning
  • Lead and manage care for all residency players
  • Be the point contact for all residency players, their families for updates and emergencies
  • Be a liaison between the housing (ABC), school (SRDS) and residency players
  • Coordinate residency players school schedules based on their training rhythm
  • Communicate with school and housing regarding any schedule changes
  • Implement and maintain residency player daily process and record keeping
    • Complete monthly host family check in and house visit
General Operations
  • Manage roster upkeep by writing new player contracts, invitation letters, 2nd team training agreement, submitting ITC requests, release letters…etc.
  • Support the Head Coach by: 
    • Maintaining calendar and coordinating internal/external meetings
    • Acting as a liaison between front office staff and Head Coach 
  • Support the Professional Player Pathway soccer operations staff by: 
    • Facilitating new staff onboarding process
    • Coordinating and tracking staff relocation and bonuses 

Required Qualifications:

  • Share the necessary information that you are aware of that could affect the club
  • Experience working with U18 athletes preferred

Capability & Other Characteristics:
  • Demonstrate superb analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Knowledge of performance requirements for adults and youth female athletes
  • Experience working with performance monitoring systems (e.g., GPS and force measurement products)
  • Experience working in collaboration with coaches and other support staff in a multidisciplinary high-performance team
  • Proficient in computers with software such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
  • Strong verbal, written, in-person, and presentation communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, data collection, and planning skills
  • Able and willing to travel for away games.
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed 
  • Current and valid driver's license
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Location: 

This position is fully in-person, based at Gotham FC’s soccer operations office and practice facility, currently located in Whippany, New Jersey. The person must be able and willing to attend all Gotham FC home games, away games, and other business-related travel. Gotham FC requires its employees to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s office, practice facility, and Sports Illustrated Arena
