NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ. 
 
The Role: 
Gotham FC is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator that will support the Community and Social Impact Manager in executing the Club’s community/social impact programs and events, outreaching to new community and youth organizations in the NJ and NYC area, and fostering community partnerships aligned to Gotham FC's community & social impact strategy. The role will have an emphasis on events (inclusive of Gotham FC game days, events in the community, as well as community partner events). Candidates with experience in Events/Operations are encouraged to apply.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Game Day community/social impact program operations, including hosting guests and managing all program components pre-game, in-game, and post-game, as well as supporter relations
  • Lead the outreach and securing community and youth representatives for home game day torch lighting ceremony, ensuring all logistics are managed and executed accordingly
  • Outreach to new community and youth organizations in the NJ and NYC area; management of existing community and youth organization relationships
  • Lead Gotham FC’s comp ticket game day experience program from outreach to ticket distribution to transportation booking to results tracking
  • Create and manage the “No Ticket Goes Unused” program in collaboration with the Sales Team
  • Manage the community webpage(s) and ensure community contact forms are viewed and answered in a timely manner
  • Manage community impact tracking throughout the season for accurate data and reporting
  • Support all community and partnership programming such as youth camps, community events, sponsorship events, etc.
  • Support Community Impact Manager with applicable home game day relations needs and away game watch parties
  • Support Community Impact Manager with supporter relations and player relations
  • Create and manage gear donation drops to community/youth organizations
 
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum 1 year in a Community/Social Impact and/or Events/Operations 
  • Ability to foster genuine relationships with a diverse group of individuals 
  • Highly organized and detail oriented 
  • Ability to review and report on relevant data, and form thoughtful suggestions based on analysis 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral 
  • Knowledge of the surrounding NY and NJ area, youth soccer programs, teams, and community organizations 
  • Highly creative with the ability to think outside of the box

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand comfortably for several hours at a time
 
Location:  
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events (including on weekends and evenings) as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices and practice facility and Red Bull Arena.

Job type:  Full-time Exempt position 

Salary range:  $50,000 - $55,000
