NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ.

The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking a Community Coordinator (Temporary, Part-Time) that will support the Senior Community Manager in executing the Club’s community/social impact programs and events, outreaching to new community and youth organizations in the NJ and NYC area, and fostering community partnerships aligned to Gotham FC's community and social impact strategy. The candidate must be available for the following events (this is not an all-inclusive list of events. Support may be needed at other Gotham FC game days, events in the community, and community partner events):

  • 8/17 Home Game - Boardwalk Bash 12 PM - 6 PM 
  • 8/19 - CarMax Clinic (Brooklyn) 3-6 PM
  • 8/20 - CarMax Clinic (Brooklyn) 3-6 PM
  • 8/20 - Concacaf Game 4 PM - 9 PM
  • 8/21 - CarMax Clinic (NJ) 3-6 PM
  • 8/23 Home Game - Dog Days of Summer 3:30 - 9:30 PM  
  • 9/7 Home Game - New Fan Night 12 - 7 PM 
  • 9/7 KHITG Fall Training @ 15 Exch. 10 AM - 12 PM
  • 9/26 Home Game - Celebración de la Comunidad 4 - 10 PM

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Game Day community/social impact program operations, including hosting guests and managing all program components pre-game, in-game, and post-game, as well as supporter relations
  • Outreach to new community and youth organizations in the NJ and NYC area; management of existing community and youth organization relationships
  • Manage the community webpage(s) and ensure community contact forms are viewed and answered in a timely manner
  • Support Senior Community Manager with applicable home game day relations needs and away game watch parties
  • Support Senior Community Manager with supporter relations and player relations
  • Create and manage gear donation drops to community/youth organizations
  • Prepare all necessary materials for events

Qualifications: 
  • Minimum 1 year in a Community/Social Impact and/or Events/Operations 
  • Ability to foster genuine relationships with a diverse group of individuals 
  • Highly organized and detail oriented 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral 
  • Highly creative with the ability to think outside of the box 

Capability & Other Characteristics: 
  • Ability to act as a brand ambassador for Gotham FC, always leading with the utmost professionalism
  • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand comfortably for several hours at a time

Location:  
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary.  A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Sports Illustrated Stadium.
